Test machine specs

I've got C&C3 running on 2 machines here - Dad also bought a copy so it means network games continue. This also means we have 2 machines being used for testing, Parent and Deb - both running Windows XP.
  • 2.4 GHz Intel Celeron
  • Nvidia graphics card
  • 512MB RAM
  • Installed to IDE harddisk
  • 17" Acer TFT
  • Intel Pentium D - dual core - 3.0GHz
  • ATi X1300 256Mb graphics
  • 2.5GB RAM
  • Installed to SATA harddisk
  • 17" Acer TFT
Might be worth mentioning at this point that if you want to run C&C3 on Vista you'll need 1GB RAM minimum, probably even if you turn of Vista's eye candy. Dad has found that exiting C&C3 with only 512MB RAM can be painful and the quickest route back to productivity is to reboot. With 2.5GB RAM this doesn't seem to be a problem so I assume I don't quite hit page file :).

C&C3 installed pretty quickly on Deb, 15 minutes tops, whereas on Parent it took 30 minutes, if not longer.
