Jonsdocs Technical Wiki

One of the biggest problems with computers today is the lack of readily available user friendly documentation. One of Jonsdocs' original purposes was to store, and make available to the public, the helpsheets and documentation that I write as I come across a problem or a new feature. Needless to say, having to hand code a new webpage each time I had a brainwave wasn't particularly easy - I needed something more like a notebook on the Internet, enter MediaWiki's wiki software.

The Jonsdocs wiki is a growing repository of searchable information and, more importantly, I can quickly update it should I produce a new helpsheet or conquer a new problem. I figure the old adage of "give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll eat for the rest of his life" is very true so making this information available to other people was really key. Using the wiki like my own technical notebook means I can quickly update the site without having to spend hours in the process.
